A rare event has happened in the Latvian music industry. The Gold Disc for successful "Es skrienu" album sales was presented to Lauris Reiniks during "Okartes skatuve- Dzimuši mūzikai" LNT reality show. According to the Latvian Music Producers Association (LAMPA) standards, a music record is certified Gold in Latvia if it has been sold in at least 5000 hard copies. "Es skrienu" album was released in autumn of 2010 by "Microphone Records" and is now sold in 6000 copies
Lauris Reiniks' Latvian duet hit song "Pasakā" (In a Fairytale) that was recently released in Estonia (Linnamuinasjutt) and Lithuania (Pasaka) is now found at #1 spot of radio charts in both countries. "Linnamuinasjutt" has been the number one song for 6 consequtive weeks on radio "Elmar", the most popular Estonian music radio station in Estonia. In Lithuania "Pasaka" reached the first place on radio "Lietus" in the second week after entering Top20.
Lauris Reiniks, known to as one of F.L.Y. Singers representing Latvia at Eurovision Song Contest 2003 and author of I wish I could pretend, the runner up song at Irish National Final 2009, has released his summer hit Es Skrienu in Latvian, Lithuanian, Estonian and English, and is open to more exciting lingual challenges.
In July, 2010 Lauris Reiniks recorded his Latvian 2010 summer hit song “Es skrienu” in Estonian language called “Ma jooksen”. During a course of the month after the song, video was presented to Estonian public it is showing remarkable results. Great number of views on YouTube, topping the chart of Raadio Elmar, getting attention of best Estonian Djs and doing well on Estonian mp3 music stores.
